Three blondes were sitting by the side of a river early one morning, chatting, laughing, and occasionally tossing their fishing lines into the water. It was one of those peaceful, lazy days where nothing much seemed to be happening\u2014just the sound of the water flowing and birds chirping nearby.<\/p>\n
After a while, a game warden happened to walk by on his routine patrol. He noticed the three women with their lines in the water and decided to check on them. Quietly, he stepped up behind them and tapped one of the blondes on the shoulder.<\/p>\n
\u201cExcuse me, ladies,\u201d he said politely, \u201cI\u2019d like to see your fishing licenses.\u201d<\/p>\n
The first blonde turned around, a bit surprised. \u201cOh\u2026 we don\u2019t have any,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n
The warden frowned slightly. \u201cWell, if you\u2019re going to fish, you need a valid fishing license. It\u2019s the law.\u201d<\/p>\n
The second blonde quickly chimed in, shaking her head. \u201cBut officer, we\u2019re not fishing!\u201d<\/p>\n
The warden crossed his arms. \u201cOh really? Then what exactly are you doing with those lines in the water?\u201d<\/p>\n
The third blonde proudly held up her fishing rod. At the end of the line, instead of a hook, was a small magnet.<\/p>\n
\u201cSee?\u201d she said with a smile. \u201cWe all have magnets at the end of our lines. We\u2019re just cleaning up the river\u2014collecting metal debris from the bottom!\u201d<\/p>\n
The game warden paused, clearly not expecting that answer. He looked at each of them, then at the lines, then back again. After a moment, he shrugged.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell\u2026 I suppose that\u2019s not illegal,\u201d he said. \u201cCarry on, ladies. And\u2026 good for you for helping the environment.\u201d<\/p>\n
He walked away, shaking his head.<\/p>\n
As soon as he was out of earshot, the three blondes burst into laughter.<\/p>\n
The first one grinned and said, \u201cSee? I told you magnets would work!\u201d<\/p>\n
The second one added, \u201cYeah, and we already caught three soda cans, a spoon, and that weird old key!\u201d<\/p>\n
The third blonde proudly held up her line again and said, \u201cAnd I just caught another one!\u201d<\/p>\n
They all leaned in to look.<\/p>\n
