SAN ANTONIO – We’re getting a closer look at some of the people arrested at a massive immigration raid early Sunday morning at a nightclub on the North Side.<\/p>\n
The Department of Homeland Security says 27 members of the Tren de Aragua gang were arrested. They also seized cocaine, three firearms, and approximately $35,000 in cash during the operation.<\/p>\n

The raid, conducted by a newly formed Homeland Security Task Force, involved the FBI and HSI San Antonio and took place around 3 a.m. Sunday at a car lot near San Pedro Avenue and Basse Road.<\/p>\n
Federal agents executed a search warrant at the after-hours club, and two individuals are currently under investigation for human smuggling and money laundering.<\/p>\n

The agency released photos of what they described as some of the worst offenders arrested in the raid.<\/p>\n

Additionally, two men detained during the operation, Marcos Joel Contreras-Max and Edwin Javier Chinchilla-Lopez, both Honduran nationals, appeared in federal court today.<\/p>\n
