{"id":15505,"date":"2026-09-18T07:49:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T07:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/humorssite.com\/?p=15505"},"modified":"2026-09-18T07:49:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T07:49:14","slug":"the-second-funeral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/humorssite.com\/?p=15505","title":{"rendered":"The Second Funeral"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A funeral service was being held for a woman who had recently passed away.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The church was full of relatives, old friends and neighbors who had come to pay their respects.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her husband sat quietly in the front row, looking devastated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the service ended, the pallbearers carefully lifted the casket and began carrying it toward the exit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything was solemn and respectful.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until they turned a corner.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the pallbearers misjudged the distance and accidentally bumped the casket hard against a wall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone froze.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, from inside the casket, came a faint moan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first, nobody moved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One pallbearer looked at another.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDid you hear that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They quickly lowered the casket and opened it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To everyone\u2019s astonishment, the woman was still alive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An ambulance was called, she recovered, and what had begun as a funeral turned into the strangest family celebration anyone could remember.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She went on to live for another ten years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eventually, however, she passed away again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A second funeral was arranged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of the same relatives attended, and once again the husband sat quietly through the service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end, the pallbearers lifted the casket and started carrying it toward the exit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As they approached the same narrow section of the church, the husband suddenly jumped to his feet and cried out,<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWatch out for the wall!\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A funeral service was being held for a woman who had recently passed away.
