Alan Jackson\u2019s concert at Two Step Inn on Saturday night got shut down, albeit temporarily, after the country music legend encouraged fans to \u201cclimb over them fences.\u201d
\nAlan Jackson performed in front of a packed house at the Two Step Inn music festival in Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday night (April 5). Alan was the headliner for the first night of the two-day event. Jackson\u2019s set took a wild turn as he sang his 2008 hit \u201cGood Time.\u201d During the song, Alan encouraged fans to \u201cclimb over them fences and dance up and down these aisles.\u201d He told the crowd, \u201cI don\u2019t care. Let\u2019s have a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n

But, event organizers had issue with Alan\u2019s request. As fans climbed fences and gathered near the stage, organizers cut Alan\u2019s mic and shut down the show, according to attendees.<\/p>\n

\nFootage captured by concertgoers shows the 66-year-old country music legend encouraging fans to have a good time.
\nFans hesitated at first, but Alan encouraged them, saying, \u201cCome on, y\u2019all! Let\u2019s have a good time!\u201d Attendees are then seen jumping over barricades and dancing in front of the stage as a lone security guard seems at a loss as to how to handle the situation. Jackson tells one security guard, \u201cCome on, man. Let the girl dance.\u201d Video also captured the moment Alan returns to the stage to apologize.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, y\u2019all. I was just wantin\u2019 to have a good time,\u201d Jackson told the crowd.<\/p>\n

Fans reacted to the moment and defended Alan Jackson.
\nAccording to attendees, once Alan finished singing \u201cGood Time,\u201d organizers paused the show for \u201c5 to 7 minutes\u201d while everyone was removed from the prohibited area. Many fans took issue with the move and defended Alan\u2019s request for fans to enjoy themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 5-minute pause during the show really ruined the show. If no one is getting hurt, then just let them be,\u201d one person wrote. Another commented, \u201cIf Alan says it\u2019s not a security issue, it ain\u2019t a security issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other comments read, \u201cMost disrespectful buzzkill I\u2019ve ever seen cutting Alan off [sic]. Two Step Inn knows how to ruin a show,\u201d \u201cImagine not letting people have a good time!\u201d and \u201cOne of his last shows in Texas and C3 cuts his microphone and paused him mid show. Not a good look.\u201d<\/p>\n
