Two young lovers headed up to the mountains for a romantic winter vacation.
They had rented a small wooden cabin surrounded by snow-covered trees, complete with a fireplace, thick blankets and absolutely no phone signal.
To them, it was perfect.
As soon as they arrived, the guy decided to make the cabin warm and cozy.
“I’ll go chop some wood,” he said confidently.
A few minutes later, he came back inside rubbing his hands together.
“Honey, my hands are freezing!”
She smiled and said, “Well, come here and I’ll warm them between my legs.”
He immediately decided that chopping wood was his new favorite hobby.
A little later, he went outside again.
When he came back, he shook the snow from his jacket and announced,
“Honey, my hands are freezing again!”
She rolled her eyes, but helped warm them once more.
Not surprisingly, he suddenly discovered that the fireplace required an enormous amount of wood.
After dinner, he grabbed the axe again.
She watched him head toward the door.
“Do we really need more wood?”
“You can never be too prepared,” he replied.
A few minutes later, he returned with another armful of logs and the same hopeful expression.
“Honey, my hands are really freezing!”
This time, she stared at him for several seconds.
Then she looked at his hands.
Then at his face.
Finally, she shook her head and said,
“For crying out loud, don’t your ears ever get cold?”
